The Cardona salt outcrop and distinctive scenery make this a unique site.
The Nieves mine was one of the most important potassium salt workings in Europe until 1990. It is still possible to contemplate this wonder of nature: The salt mountain located in the Salina valley. Visitors can enjoy a chronological exhibition of photographs dating back to the first days of the mine, its tunnels and machinery (Alberto i Mª Teresa). Visitors will be taken down to a depth of 86metres in special vehicles.
